Hunger is NOT a (Crock) Pot
This annual fundraiser for Harvest Hope Food Bank is a favorite. Students get to show off their culinary skills and submit a crockpot of soup. For $5 attendees get a cup, spoon and the opportunity to taste as much soup as possible. MY Will
My Will is back! This is a collaborative project with the SC Bar, the USC School of Law Pro Bono Program and the Midlands Council of Governments. Students will download the simple will template and then serve as scriveners for lawyers as wills are prepared for low-income senior citizens. H.E.L.P. Clinic-the Homeless Clinic, a project of the Richland County Bar Association Pro Bono Committee is conducted from 8:30-10 am on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at Transitions. Law students will conduct intake interviews and assist attorneys with cases. This annual event brings together the members of the new 1L class, their peer mentors, faculty and staff for an afternoon of community service at over 14 local organizations. It all starts with pizza in the lobby at 12 and with the sound of a whistle everyone heads out to their assigned location.
